Antonia Mims, age 65, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 4, 2022, at Urbandale Health Care Center.

Antonia was born October 11, 1956, in Des Moines to Joseph and Mary (Hascall) Martinez.

She enjoyed fishing, being outside, camping, and traveling. She did however hold a sweet spot in her heart for the homeless.

She is survived by her children, Jon Lafferty and Bobby Lafferty; sister, Tina Freeman; grandchild, Taylor Barnes; brothers, Davey Hascall and Danny Hascall; step-dad, Uncle Junior; and a dear friend, Kelly Walters.

Antonia was preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Sheila Hascall and Ricky Hascall.

Cremation will occur and there will be no formal services held at this time.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be directed to the family in loving memory of Antonia.
