Jason "Nipper" Ray Anderson
July 01, 2022
Jason “Nipper” Ray Anderson, 43, passed unexpectedly on July 1, 2022 at Methodist Hospital in Des Moines. A visitation will be held on Saturday, July 9, 2022 from 3 to 5 p.m. at Hamilton’s on Westown Parkway, 3601 Westown Parkway in West Des Moines, IA.
Jason was born April 1, 1979 at home in the midst of a blizzard. Jason graduated from Valley High School in West Des Moines then attended DMACC and Hamilton Business College with a degree in IT. He most recently worked for Heartland Coop as a Network Engineer.
When it came to cars, Jason had a passion for Mustangs. His first from his parents as a teen, a 1984 Saleen Mustang. He continued to trade up from there and most recently for a 2021 with the tag “Redevil”. Jason was a devoted member of the Iowa Mustangs Unstabled Club. He also enjoyed collecting baseball cards and rock band memorabilia, and playing video games with his son Gunnar. Jason had the gift of gab and was always good for a story.
He is greatly missed by his wife, Sherry Anderson; daughter, Natalie (Jared) Naja; son, Gunnar Anderson; grandchildren, Declan Naja and one on the way; his parents, Jo and Tim Anderson; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, and his beloved car club friends of the Central Iowa Taco Club.

Im going to miss you Jason. You were always a joy to be around, and Im really going to miss our conversations about cars, guns, and just about anything else. Its hard just to go out and take a smoke break without remembering your infectious smile. Heartland Coops IT team has a big empty spot now. Gods speed, my friend.

We only knew Jason for a little over a year but he quickly became a brother to us. We will miss our weekly (sometimes 5 times a week 😊) cruises and dinners. It will never be the same without him! I am glad we got to spend time with his family this weekend and we will forever consider you all part of our family ❤
