Mark Ritter II, passed away on June 22, 2022. Mark was born on July 26, 1968, to Thanna and Mark Ritter. He graduated from Tech High School in 1982. Mark was married to Leslie Helper in 1990. In 1999, they had a son, Dylan Ritter. Mark was preceded in death by his wife, Leslie Ritter.

Mark was a beloved friend to many, and always generous to those in need. Mark was truly the friend that would offer the shirt from his back. He was a proud member of the Jaycees and was made a Senator in the organization. He possessed a wit and humor that were cherished by those around him. Mark was in kidney failure in the last eight months of his life but rarely complained of the impacts to himself. Mark left this life as he lived it, by helping others. Mark helped others through the Iowa Donor Network and the Iowa Lions Eye Bank.

A Celebration of Life for Mark will be held on August 13, 2022, from 1-4 PM at the New Hope Assembly of God, Student Campus, 6800 Townsend Avenue in Urbandale.

In lieu of flowers, the family would like memorial contributions made to his son, Dylan Ritter.
