Lyle Raymond Norman, age 83, passed away surrounded by his family on Monday, June 20, 2022, at Mercy Hospital.

Lyle was born November 24, 1938 in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin to Glenn and Helen (Konopka) Norman. He was a graduate of East High School and was employed by The Des Moines Register Tribune as a journeyman pressman.

Lyle devoted himself to his family, loving wife Judi, three sons, grandchildren, and was a great friend to his coffee club friends, The Cave Group (Citizens Against Virtually Everything.). He enjoyed woodworking, home building renovations, and making special jewelry boxes for family & friends. Lyle also loved classic cars and tending to his rose and tomato garden.

Lyle is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 62 years, Judi (Story) Norman; sons, Todd (Diana) Norman, Tedd Norman, and Troy (Julie) Norman; grandchildren, Courtney, Tanner, Delanie, Ty, and Shaylee; and many other loving family members & dear friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Glenn and Helen Norman; and brother, Les Norman.

There will be a visitation from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m., Sunday, June 26, 2022 at Rising Sun Church of Christ, 6390 NE Rising Sun Dr., Pleasant Hill, IA. Memorial Services will be held beginning at 11:00 a.m., Monday, June 27th also, at Rising Sun Church. A luncheon will be held immediately following services.
