Lyle Raymond Norman, age 83, passed away surrounded by his family on Monday, June 20, 2022, at Mercy Hospital.
Lyle was born November 24, 1938 in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin to Glenn and Helen (Konopka) Norman. He was a graduate of East High School and was employed by The Des Moines Register Tribune as a journeyman pressman.
Lyle devoted himself to his family, loving wife Judi, three sons, grandchildren, and was a great friend to his coffee club friends, The Cave Group (Citizens Against Virtually Everything.). He enjoyed woodworking, home building renovations, and making special jewelry boxes for family & friends. Lyle also loved classic cars and tending to his rose and tomato garden.
Lyle is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 62 years, Judi (Story) Norman; sons, Todd (Diana) Norman, Tedd Norman, and Troy (Julie) Norman; grandchildren, Courtney, Tanner, Delanie, Ty, and Shaylee; and many other loving family members & dear friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Glenn and Helen Norman; and brother, Les Norman.
There will be a visitation from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m., Sunday, June 26, 2022 at Rising Sun Church of Christ, 6390 NE Rising Sun Dr., Pleasant Hill, IA. Memorial Services will be held beginning at 11:00 a.m., Monday, June 27th also, at Rising Sun Church. A luncheon will be held immediately following services. The service may be attended virtually through Rising Sun Church of Christ's website. (www.risingsunchurch.org)
Memorial contributions to be made to family to be distributed to Lyle’s favorite charities.

So, so sorry to learn of Lyles passing. He was a gentle giant with a determined yet measured spirit. So many great memories with you, all, and so much love and warmth for you on this difficult day. Our family is so sorry for your loss. Lyle was like a second dad to me growing up. I practically lived with you guys in the summer.He taught us a lot about building house and cars. Lyle will be missed by all.
