Tina Scheffers, beloved daughter, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and cousin, passed away peacefully on Monday, June 20, 2022, surrounded by her loving family. She was born the daughter of William and Linda (O’Neal) Hehmann on October 29, 1968 in Greencastle, Indiana.

Tina enjoyed being outdoors, walking and watching softball & baseball. Some of her most favorite things to do were traveling with family, especially trips to the beach and swimming in the ocean. One of her greatest joys came from spending time with her sons and grandchildren. Tina leaves a legacy of selflessness, generosity, and compassion.

She is lovingly survived by her sons Justin (Caitlin) Scheffers, Tyler (Jessica) Scheffers, and Johnathan Scheffers, grandkids Justin Jr., Jaxon, Jazzmin, Jeffrey, Elsa, Mila, Kennadi, and Maisee, siblings Sandee (Ricardo) Gallegos and Terra (Greg) Saylor, and her nieces and nephews, Sarah Mitchell, Matt Bramer, Kaycee Mitchell, Lindsee Mitchell, Brandon Mitchell, Garett Mitchell, Samantha Dowd, Nathan Dowd, and Matthew Saylor, and 21 great nieces & nephews.

The family will greet friends from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., Friday, July 1, 2022 at East Side Church of the Nazarene, 1451 E 25th St., Des Moines. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m., Saturday, July 2nd also, at the church, with burial to follow at 1:30 p.m. at Oakwood Cemetery, Pella.
