Service Details
Daryl Barnes, 62, ascended into heaven on October 31, 2009.
He was born January 30, 1947 in Des Moines, were he was raised. He graduated from East High and then joined the Navy. After years of service and living in Jacksonville Fl he moved back to Des Moines with his wife to raise their family. He worked for 16 years at the post office until his retirement in 2004.
He is survived by his wife Wilma, daughters; April (Ray) Dudley and Danielle Barnes; grandchildren, Ray and Alan Dudley; siblings, Danny, David and Cheryl. He was preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Helen; siblings, Dennis, Carl James and Jenny; grandson, Carl James.
A funeral service will be held Wednesday, November 4, 2009, 2:00 PM at Maranatha Open Bible Church, 414 E. 27th Street in Des Moines. Visitation will occur one hour prior to the service at the church.
Memorial contributions can be directed towards the family in loving memory of Daryl.

To the Barnes Family,
I offer up my condolences in the passing of your relative. I did not know Daryl personally, however have been friends with his brother Danny for nearly 20 years. He is a good friend of mine and wish for him to know that I feel the pain of his loss. Again I offer up my condolences and deepest regrets to Danny and the whole family, in this your time of sorrow and loss. I offer up many prayers for acceptance, understanding and rememberance of the joy and happiness I'm sure Daryl brought you and all around him as a Father, Son, Brother, Uncle, Grandfather and friend.
