Larry G. Lee

Larry Gene Lee, age 80, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 10, 2022.

Larry was born October 13, 1941 in Polk City, Iowa to Bernard and Helen (White) Lee. He graduated from North Polk High School in 1960. Larry was an auto mechanic and the owner of L & L Garage in Des Moines for many years. He enjoyed fishing and camping.

He is survived by his wife, Judith Lee; children, Kurt Lee, Denise (Jim) Holmes, and Jerry Stewart; grandchildren, Ashley (Aaron) Benson, Stephanie (Jimmie) Shields, Heather Holmes, Melissa (Ryan) Larson, and Jason (Laura) Stewart; eleven great-grandchildren; siblings, Lillie Longhenry, Bernard Lee, and Steve (Nancy) Lee; and other extended family and friends.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents, Bernard and Helen Lee.

There will be no formal services at this time.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made directly to the family in loving memory of Larry.
