Service Details
Babbette L. Brownlee, age 72, passed away at her home on June 3, 2022. She was born in Des Moines on January 28, 1950, the daughter of George and Beverly (Beaugregard) Glade.
Babbette cherished her family more than anything. She loved spending time with family, friends, and neighbors; teaching Sunday school, and traveling.
Babbette was an active member of the Red Hat Society and also a lifelong member of Fort Des Moines Presbyterian Church.
Babbette is survived by her mother, Beverly Glade, and her brothers, Richard (Irene) Glade and Danny (Tammy) Glade. She was preceded in death by her father, George Glade, and her sister, Mary McFarland.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 11, 2022, at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Ave. in Des Moines, where visitation will be held from 8:30-10:00 a.m. Burial will be held at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery following the service.
Memorial contributions may be directed to Fort Des Moines Presbyterian Church in loving memory of Babbette.

I worked with Babs for years at Wellmark. She was such a nice lady. She will be missed. May she rest in peace in heaven.

I'm so sadden to hear of the loss of Babs. I worked with Babs at Wellmark and she was one of my favorite coworkers, just a real sweet lady and a friend to all. May she rest in Peace.
