Ona Marie Lovell, age 70, passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 4, 2022, at her home. She was born on June 19, 1951, in Indianola, Iowa, to Jack & Deloris Green.

Ona was the first woman in the United States to be President of Grandview Little League. She coached several teams, one of which went on to play a tournament at Field of Dreams. She enjoyed being outdoors, camping, and racing stock cars in Powder Puff races. Ona worked at Methodist Hospital as an Environmental Specialist and retired after 22 years of dedicated service. She will forever be remembered for her hard work ethic, optimistic attitude, and strong will. Ona was an amazing wife, loving mother and a caring friend to all.

She is lovingly survived by her son Jeffrey Lovell, sisters Cindy and Judy, brothers Kelly, Steve, and Gary, and her brother-in-law Richard.

Ona was preceded in death by her parents, husband of 50+ years Wayne Lovell, and sons Jason Brian and Sonny Jay.

Graveside Service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, June 13, 2022, at Iowa Veterans Cemetery in Adel.
