Allison Hoye
June 29, 2022
Allison Hoye, 15, passed away May 29, 2022. She was born in Des Moines, on June 8, 2006, the daughter of David and Christine Hoye.
Allison enjoyed many different activities, most of which was spending time with her family and friends. Much of her time was dedicated to her arts, crafts, and music. One of her presiding passions was makeup and dressing up. In school Allison participated in Marching Band and Concert Band playing the clarinet. She also participated in the Theatre Arts Department as one of the stage managers and ran in Track.
Allison spoke highly of all her friends and teachers that were very dear to her. She cherished the smallest actions and objects from them. Each day was a new story about those around her. For Allison, her family, friends and teachers enveloped her life.
Those who knew Allison knew her as a very happy and stubborn girl. She was loved by all who met her. Allison always spoke her mind and stood up for her own beliefs and those of the people close to her. Allison actively sought to provide light in other people’s lives in any way she could. Regrettably, Allison struggled a lot with her mental health, and lost the battle with her depression.
Allison is preceded in death by her brother, Christopher Hoye; her grandfather, Jerry Frost; and her great-grandfather Jack Frost.
Allison is survived by her parents, David and Christine Hoye; her siblings, Jasmine and Brandon Helm, Adam Banwell, and Jessica Hoye; her grandparents, Kim Frost, and Mike and Mary Hoye; her uncle, Jeffery Frost; her great-grandmother Donna Frost; her god-family, Jack Frost, Debbie Greim, and Hailey Frost; along with countless other aunts, uncles, cousins and friends whom all loved her.
Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, June 7, 2022, at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Ave, Des Moines.
Memorial contributions may be directed to the family in loving memory of Allison.

I was in her friend group in high school, didn't know her well but we hit it off. We've graduated and moved on sure, but her passing tore us all apart. To this day I still think about her and have a drink for her on her birthday. I miss this kind soul so much and I hope you all are healing well from loosing this poor baby. We love and miss you Allison!

As one of Allison's former track teammates, I can attest to her feisty and creative personality. I am deeply saddened by the news of her passing, which I only heard recently. Allison left the world a better place than she found it.

We're so sorry for the loss of Allison. I knew her as Jessica's little shadow when our kids were all at Jensen together. My daughters always spoke highly of Allison and she will be greatly missed.
