Brandi Lynn Nunez, age 34, died unexpectedly on Thursday, June 2, 2022 at her home in Des Moines.
Brandi was born October 31, 1987 in Des Moines, Iowa. Her greatest love in life was her family. She was a wonderful mother and a devoted wife and treasured every minute with her family. Brandi loved the holidays and would dress up her kids for each one. She loved ice skating when she was younger. Brandi enjoyed fishing, camping, and dirt track races and was an avid Iowa Hawkeyes fan.
She will be lovingly remembered by her husband, Salvador Nunez Alvarez; children, Noah, Nadrian, Nalayna, and Narriana; mother, Sherri (George) Strable; father, Larry Graspy; brother, Travis (Lynnette) Graspy, Glenn Troy (Windie) Graspy, and Alfie Graspy; grandmother, Ilene Strable; in-laws, Erika (David) Nunez, Juan Alvarez, and Tonia Alvarez; as well as many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and other extended family and many close friends.
Brandi was preceded in death by her grandparents, Glenn Riehm, Beverly Riehm, and George D. Strable.
Services will be held Saturday, June 11, 2022 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, Des Moines. Visitation will be from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. Funeral service will be at 1:00 p.m. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. There will be a dinner at 4023 E 28th Street, Des Moines, after the burial.

Our hearts are breaking over the loss of our beautiful niece and for her lovely family. Brandi was one of the best people we've ever known. She was a special gift from God and we thank Him for the time He gave us with her. Love forever Aunt Vickie and Steve
