Lorenzo Mateo Galvan, 25, passed away in his home unexpectedly on May 27, 2022. Lorenzo was born on February 1, 1997 to Justino Galvan and Kristina Urbina.
Lorenzo loved living in the heart of Des Moines, he was within walking distance of his work and his friends. When Lorenzo wasn’t at work, he was spending time with his family, whom he loved very much. He had many siblings and nieces and nephews who were the light of his life.
Lorenzo loved music, dancing, and cooking. He spent years in the restaurant business as a cook and he loved to make homemade meals in his free time. Lorenzo also loved to travel and was always up for a new adventure. Lorenzo was the type of person that lit up a room when he walked in, he always was so kind and caring to others. To know Lorenzo, was to love him. He made friends with everyone. Lorenzo was loved by all.
Lorenzo is survived by his parents, Kristina Urbina and Justino Galvan; siblings, Codie (Martiniano) Arredondo, Abigail Urbina, Alejandra (Mario Ortega) Galvan, Natalie (Alex Moreno) Galvan, Jacqueline Galvan, Adrianna Galvan, Miguel Molleda, Ulises Galvan, Diana Galvan, Belinda Galvan, and Manuel Galvan; grandparents, Marla (Mateo) DelCarmen, and Maria Galan; nieces and nephews, Ellie, Gloria, Jose “Bebe”, Ian, Leah, Marlaina “Nene”, Izabella, Baby girl Ortega, Sophia, Marcella, Kimberly “Lil Kim” Baby Lorenzo, and Josue; and other relatives and many special friends. Lorenzo was preceded in death by his grandfather, Lorenzo Galvan, and his aunt, Patty.
The family will greet friends from 5-8 PM on Monday, June 6, 2022 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, Des Moines. Funeral Service will be held at 1PM on Tuesday, June 7, 2022 at the funeral home with burial to follow at Laurel Hill Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made directly to the family in loving memory of Lorenzo.
