Dorene "Eunice" Mabrier

Dorene Janet Mabrier, age 88, passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 22, 2022 at Urbandale Care Center surrounded by her loving children.

Dorene was born November 5, 1933, in Des Moines, Iowa to Clarence and Edith F. (Lowe) Haynes. She married Kenneth I. Mabrier and they enjoyed 60 happy years together. She worked for Heather Manor in Des Moines for 21 years. She enjoyed going to the races at Knoxville and camping.

She is survived by her children, Janet Collins, Janice Mabrier, and Bruce Mabrier; grandchildren, Nicole Thompson (Michael), Nicholas Collins (Emily), Dawn Scalise (Tony), and Brian Mabrier (Nicole); great-grandchildren, Zoey Thompson, James and Skyler Huse, and Denver, Payton, Dekklin and Kinnick Mabrier; as well as a host of other extended family and friends.

Dorene was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Edith Haynes; husband, Kenneth Mabrier; and her brother, Curly Haynes.

A celebration of life will be held from 1PM to 5PM on Saturday, June 4, 2022 at Country Club Crossings, 1101 Hickory Blvd, in Altoona.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be directed to the family in loving memory of Dorene.
