Kathy J. (Frederick) Brooks

Kathy Joyce Frederick Brooks was born January 16, 1958 to Norman and Carolyn Frederick in Des Moines, Iowa. She passed away May 13th, 2022 at the age of 64.

Kathy grew up in Des Moines and Mitchellville before living in the Pleasantville and Knoxville area. She loved animals especially dogs. She had several at different times in her life. She owned numerous craft stores at different times, highlighting her love of crafting.

She was preceded in death by her mother; Carolyn Frederick.

She is survived by her father; Norm Frederick of Knoxville, son; Gregg Bensink of Pleasantville, daughter; Melissa Bensink of Portland, Oregon, sister; Diane (Jim) Miller of Pleasant Hill, brothers; Larry (June) Frederick of Knoxville and Ken (Joanna) Frederick of Des Moines as well as several nieces, nephews, aunts uncles and cousins.

Inurnment will take place at Mitchellville Cemetery on Thursday, May 19, 2022, at 11:00 a.m.
