Randy Dean Williams

Randy Williams, 61, passed away on May 10, 2022, after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born in Des Moines, Iowa, on January 3, 1961, the son of Gerald and Virginia Williams.

Randy worked in the parts department at Holmes Honda for 25 years and spent the last two years of his career at Echo. He was an avid Hawkeye fan and loved attending the Iowa State Fair. Randy enjoyed golfing, boating, and listening to Rock & Roll music.

Randy is survived by his daughter, McKayla Williams (Ryan Smith); granddaughter on the way; mother, LaVon Tracy; siblings, Nancy Wadsworth, Jerry (Shirley) Williams, Duane (Jackie) Williams, and Janice (Khris) Williams; many nieces, nephews, and other loving family members. He was preceded in death by his father, Gerald “Jerry” Williams; and step-dad, Ralph Tracy.

Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, May 14, 2022, at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Ave., Des Moines. The family will receive visitors at the funeral home beginning at 1 p.m.

Sorry for your loss. I just learned of Randy's passing. I met Randy through his friend, Teresa Brewer. We were friends since late 60's. I lost touch with him when I moved to North Dakota. He was a good friend. Always there to help or go on an adventure.
