Mrs. Harvey was the most influential teacher I ever had from K-12 through law school. A day doesn't go by that some action I take doesn't go back to her influences. She taught ecology and environmentalism (for me an unusual ecology club membership from 1974-1981 that began with a tree planting at Ewing Park) long before the world was grasping its importance. When I was home with chicken pox in second grade she supplied my mom with books that formed who I would become. I wish I knew earlier her name was Carol (I only knew the Jeanne part!) as I tried to find her online for years. I still have my certificate from her from fifth grade. So incredible 48 years of students got her positive influence! My condolences to her family--and thanks for sharing her with us.

I am sorry to hear of Jeanne's passing. I was much younger, but always looked up to my beautiful older cousin.

I am so so to hear of your mother's passing. She was a wonderful teacher, having all four of my children in 1st grade. I adored her.
