Robert Dean Winget

Robert Dean Winget, 78, passed away from complications of a stroke on April 27, 2022. He was born June 2, 1943, in Des Moines, Iowa, to Robert F. and Helen Winget.

Robert had an entrepreneurial spirit which led him to owning his own business, City Wide Building Maintenance, for many years. He was a hardworking man who loved helping others.

Robert is survived by his loving wife, Diana Winget; children, Connie (Jim) Van Cleave and Rob (Colette) Winget; grandchildren, Hannah Van Cleave, Reece Van Cleave, Bethany Winget, and Edie Winget; brother, Jim (Judy) Winget; sister-in-law, Nancy Winget; as well as a host of nieces and nephews, other loving family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his son, Chris Winget; parents, Robert and Helen Winget; brother, Don Winget; first wife and mother of his children, Judi Winget, and his second wife, Betsy Winget.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Monday, May 2, 2022, at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Avenue in Des Moines, where the family will receive visitors beginning at 11:00 a.m. He will be buried at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery following the service.
