Carolyn Hyslope, age 80, passed away on Monday, April 25, 2022, at Methodist Hospital in Des Moines. She was born on February 12, 1942, the daughter of Tom and Frances Monson in Winterset, Iowa. Carolyn attended Notre Dame Catholic High School for Girls in Omaha, Nebraska. She had a great sense of humor in her own quiet, soft spoken way. Carolyn will be remembered as a beautiful and loving mother with a kind heart. She will be deeply missed.

Those left to cherish her memory include her loving daughters Cindy Hyslope and Sandy (John) Swanson, grandchildren Ashley, Johnathan, and Benjamin, four great-grandchildren, and her brother Bill Monson.

Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents, and beloved husband James Hyslope.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, May 3, 2022, at St. John the Apostle Catholic Church, 720 Orchard Hills Dr., Norwalk, followed by burial at St. John’s Cemetery in Cumming, IA.
