Service Details
Sgt. Sean Scarborough passed away on October, 28, 2009 at UNC Hospital in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. Sean was born January 7, 1981 in Houston, Texas. He graduated in 1999 from Teton Valley High School. Sean loved the Army and being a paratrooper. Sean was a proud veteran of Operation Iraqi Freedom, Operation Enduring Freedom, Global War on Terrorism and the Multi-National Forces in Kosovo. Sean also was a fan of Notre Dame.
Sean is survived by his parents Lynda and Bob Esser; his father Gary Scarborough; sister, Joyce ( Frank) Sanchez; brothers, Jeremy, Justin and Christopher Scarborough and step-brother, Sean Esser, maternal grandfather, Gordon and Judy Warren. He is also survived by one nephew, numerous nieces, aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents.
Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Wednesday, November 4, 2009 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in West Des Moines. Visitation will be held Tuesday, November 3, 2009 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Hamilton's on Westown Parkway, 3601 Westown Parkway in West Des Moines.
The family has requested memorial contributions be made to the Wounded Warriors Project, 7020 Al Skinner Pkwy Ste. 100, Jacksonville, FL 32256.

Sean will be so deeply missed, as he was one of the most amazing people I
could have ever known. It was a honor to be a part of his life. I am so
sorry for your loss. He is with our Heavenly Father now watching over all of
us.

No matter how much time that goes by you will always be missed and in
my thoughts. Thank you for all you have done for me over the years, you have
helped me through some pretty rough times. Thank You even more for your
service to our country.
I know you are Heaven now and I'm sure already working on the plan that is
set for you. Knowing that I can still talk to you all the time and that I'll
see you again is a great comfort. I always will love you.

Dear Linda and Robert,
We were so sorry to hear the news. We know that you will miss your dear son. May you know that our prayers are with you and will continue. Please know of our love for you and ever remember our Heavenly Father's plan. Because of the Savior, he will have peace in a better place. The root of the determeination to go on is faith. Remember all of the happy memories you have and that they will bring you comfort.

Sean,
Great brother oh how you will be missed. But the time has come for your best mission yet " YOUR MISSION WITH HEAVENLY FATHER". Oh I cannot imagine the job you will do. I filled with great jot knowing that your with him. Take care little brother, your my hero. I see you when I get there. I will talk to you everyday.
