Larry G. Pollock

Larry Gene Pollock, age 76, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 19, 2022 at Accura Health Care in Knoxville, Iowa under the care of Suncrest Hospice.

Larry was born November 29, 1945 in Des Moines, Iowa to Robert W. and Marjorie (Sims) Pollock.

He graduated from North High School in Des Moines in 1964. He went to work for Des Moines General Hospital in the surgery department as a transporter. He later worked for Mercy Hospital, retiring in 1993. Larry enjoyed listening to music, and watching western movies and television.

He is survived by his siblings, Sharon (Tom) Morris, Steve Pollock, and Gerald (Rosie) Pollock; uncle, Ronnie (Judy) Sims; and several nieces and nephews.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Marjorie Pollock and his brother, Gary Pollock.

Services will be held on Wednesday, April 27, 2022 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, Des Moines. Visitation will be from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m., followed by a funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Larry will be buried at Walnut Township Cemetery in Waukee, Iowa.
