Linda M. Morgan
April 15, 2022
Linda M. Morgan age 58, passed away on Saturday, April 16, 2022 at home in Runnells with family by her side.
Linda was born in Las Vegas, Nevada on August 26, 1963 to Helen Baumgarten and Philip Partridge II.
She graduated from Boone High School and moved to Kansas where she received her certificate for Adult Care Home Aide. She then came back to Iowa and attended DMACC Boone Campus and graduated as an RN in 1989.
Linda began working for Mercy on May 15, 1989 and worked many departments during her time with them. She worked Med/Surg, Neurology, and then Critical Care. Her last 20 years were spent in Care Coordination where she was a case manager as well as a Utilization Review RN. Her MercyOne career was almost a 33 year span.
Linda enjoyed life – everything about life – and wasn’t afraid to attempt anything. But her true passions were her family, helping others, and making people laugh. She gave the most amazing back rubs, but her hugs were the type of hug to make anyone feel loved.
She is survived by her husband Don, several step-children and grandchildren who will miss her dearly. She is also survived by her mom and step-dad, Helen and David Baumgarten; dad and step-mom, Philip and Mary Partridge II; siblings, Philip Partridge III, Christopher (Dawn) Partridge, Lillian Young-Shillak, John (Karen) Partridge, and Elizabeth Norwood; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, other extended family and countless friends.
Linda was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Philip and Carrie Partridge and her maternal grandparents, Martin and Morrine Young.
Services will take place on Saturday, April 30, 2022 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, Des Moines. I've been a patron of Morgan's for several years where I've been made to feel at home every visit and it has been in large part by the hugs I've gotten from Linda. I will miss her smiles and wonderful spirit. God bless and strength to Donny, Linda's family, friends and everyone who enjoyed her bright light.

I started working with Linda on 6North at Mercy in 1997. She was great support as one of the managers. She and I both moved to the ICU and we had been in some very sticky situations together. I was always honored to have her at my side caring for patients. She was an amazing bedside nurse. We went into different roles at Mercy, but Linda always gave me a smile and asked about my daughter each time we would run into each other. I am so very sorry for the loss of this awesome lady.

Linda, I will miss your smile, it could light up a room. I enjoyed you pulling up a chair when we stopped into Morgan's and the last time we saw you , we got to see all the cabin pictures and when you talked about that place you had the biggest smile. I'll miss seeing you, You will be missed
