Angel Cardines, age 51, passed away Wednesday, April 13, 2022 surrounded by her loved ones at Broadlawn’s Hospital.

Angel was born January 23, 1971 in Des Moines, Iowa to Marty and Vicky Cardines.

Her greatest joy was spending time with her grandkids, especially if they could play outside. She liked going to the casino and loved taco truck food. When she was not with her grandkids, her attention was focused on her fur-babies - her cats, Boo, Baby, Lily, Pretty Little Princess, Boy, Dusty, Mook and Sassy. She loved listening to music and watching marathons of Law & Order.

If anyone knew Angel, they knew she would give the shirt off her back, open her home to anyone fallen on hard times, expecting nothing in return.

She is survived by her mother Vicky Cardines, life companion Harold Todd, daughters Haley (TyRae) Cardines and Melissa Cardines, son Marty Cardines, sisters Dawn Cardines and Missy Cardines, brother Johnny (Brenda) Cardines, grandchildren Tyzon, Za’Riyah, Marty III, Mira, James Jr. and Audrey, and many extended family and friends.

Angel was preceded in death by her father Marty Cardines Sr., grandparents Marcus and Vivian Cardines, grandmother Becky Merryfield, and her best friend Cheri Castro.

Cremation will occur and there will be no services held at this time.
