JoAnn Keenan

JoAnn Scovel Keenan, age 74, passed away Thursday, April 14, 2022 at her home in Des Moines.

JoAnn was born October 27, 1947 in Des Moines, Iowa to Frank Scovel, Sr. and Mary Scovel. She graduated from East High School. She had been retired for many years. JoAnn was a homebody and enjoyed her family.

She is survived by her daughter, Michelle Burgett (Rick); granddaughters, Allie, Lizzie and Stephanie; great-granddaughters, Jaliyah, Keyonna, and Thea; siblings, Frank Scovel, Jr., Debra Cornelison and Barb McCuen; and other extended family and friends.

JoAnn was preceded in death by her husband, Dana and her parents, Mary and Frank Scovel, Sr.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 19, 2022 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, Des Moines and will be followed by burial at Avon Cemetery. Light refreshments will be served after.
