Cynthia K. Ilse

Cynthia Kathryn Ilse, age 65, passed away Saturday, April 9, 2022 at her home in Des Moines.

Cynthia was born October 10, 1956 in Des Moines, Iowa to Lawrence and Phyllis (Maline) Doud. She married Gary Ilse. Cynthia worked for the Des Moines Public School System in the custodian department for 40 years.

She is survived by her husband, Gary; sons, Jeremy, Jeffry (Sarah), and Jason Streeter; sisters, Marcella (Jim) Corrigan, Susan (Bill) Selmser, Angela (Ron) McKenzie, and Marilee (Wes) Borlin-Millang; brother, Steven Doud; and many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Cynthia was preceded in death by her father, Lawrence Doud; mother and step-father, Phyllis and Maurice Borlin; and sisters, Maureen McKissick and Susan (Milton) Novak,

Services will be held at Redeemer Lutheran Church, 3615 University Avenue, Des Moines, IA 50311. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Friday, April 15, 2022. Funeral service will begin at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 16, 2022. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens, Des Moines.
