Rose Mary Coulson
Of Des Moines, Iowa
Rose Coulson, age 88, passed away on Monday, April 11, 2022, at Valley View Village in Des Moines. She was born the daughter of Floyd and Flo (Morgan) Frederick on October 18, 1933, in Winterset, Iowa.
Rose graduated from East High School. She began work for EMC Insurance Company and retired after 25 years of service. Rose’s faith was very important to her, she attended Valley View Village Chapel. She will be remembered and live on through the hearts and lives that she has touched in her lifetime.
Those left to cherish her memory include her loving sons, Robert (Deb) Coulson and Ted (Jama) Coulson; grandchildren, Christy (Gary) Adams, Bobby (Michelle) Coulson, Jason (Leslie) Coulson, Angela Coulson, and Jamie Coulson; great-grandchildren, Madison, Blaine, Katie, Abby, Nate, Chloe, Destiny, Taylor, Colten, Kollen, and Ashlynn; great-great-grandchildren, Harper and Clayton; and a host of extended family members and friends.
Rose was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 68 years, William “Ted” Coulson; her parents; and brothers, Ben, Francis, and Victor Frederick.
Family will greet friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., Friday, April 15, 2022, at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, Des Moines. Private urn burial will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, April 18, 2022, at Iowa Veterans Cemetery, Adel.

Ted & Jama, I am truly sorry for your loss. Your family will be in my prayers in the upcoming days. I remember your family coming to Trinity Baptist, and having Angela in my AWANA class. Know that you are all being thought of.

Rose Mary was a sweet, Godly woman that lit up any room! I am so sorry to hear about her passing! My thoughts and prayers to Bob and Ted!!

Ted and Rose Mary were our good neighbors when we all lived on the "back 40" at Valley View Village. They were dedicated Christians and some of my favorite people. I will continue to miss both Ted and Rose Mary. May God bring comfort to all the family.
