Rose Heller

Rose Ellen Heller, age 83, passed away at IMMC in Des Moines on April 2, 2022. She was born on April 14, 1938, to John and Marian Marnin.

Rose graduated from Valley High School in 1956. On November 24, 1957, she married David W. Heller. After 20 years of traveling with the Navy, they settled in Milo, Iowa.

Rose is survived by her daughter, Sheila (Joe) Hunemuller as well as 9 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, David; son, David Heller Jr.; daughter, Deanna Antamori; her parents, John and Marian, and siblings.

Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. on Wednesday, April 13, 2022, at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Avenue in Des Moines. A graveside service will take place at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, April 14, 2022, at Jordan Cemetery.

I am so sorry for your loss. It was a pleasure meeting Rose and Sheila just last week. I'm sorry it had to end this way but I hope you found peace and were able to say your goodbyes. I know personally how, even when we feel prepared for the end, it still is more difficult than we ever imagined. I am thinking of you and your family in this difficult time, Sheila.
