Zy'Ray Alexander

Zy’Ray Alexander, 4 months old, went to the angels on March 27, 2022. Zy’Ray was born November 15, 2021 in Des Moines, Iowa.

Services will be held on Friday, April 1, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at Hamilton’s on Westown Parkway, 3601 Westown Parkway in West Des Moines with visitation before the service from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Zy’Ray will be laid to rest at Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery.

He was loved by so many people in the short four months that he was here and touched more hearts than he will ever know. We know he will continue to watch over everyone and especially his parents who are devastated by their loss.

Zy’Ray is survived by his mother, Brittney Coon and his father, J’Vaughn Alexander; maternal grandfather, Ty (Laura) Coon and maternal grandmother, Jenifer (Rob) Nickell; sister, Jazelle Alexander; brother, J’Vaughn Alexander II; paternal grandmother, Telisha Mozee; maternal great-grandfathers, Dennis (Georgia) Coon and Steve Kearney; maternal great-grandmother, Gina Kearney; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by maternal great-grandparents, James and Betty Wessel and maternal great-grandmother, Mary Wilcox.
