Kathy Stockham

Kathy Kay Stockham, 70, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 25, 2022 at her home in Norwalk.
Kathy was born September 16, 1951 in Des Moines, Iowa to Willard and Beatrice (Roby) Boyd. She graduated from Des Moines Tech High School in 1969, Broadlawn’s Nursing School in 1972, and the University of Iowa in 1974. Kathy was a member of the American Nurses Association. She worked as Hazmat Coordinator for Lutheran Hospital. Kathy enjoyed reading romance novels, playing solitaire, and watching crime TV and cooking shows. She liked cooking and baking. Kathy’s greatest joy was her granddaughter and she loved spending time with her.
She is survived by her husband, Mike Stockham; children, James Stockham and Erica Stockham; granddaughter, Angela Cabrera; siblings, W.C. Boyd, L. J. (Tammy) Boyd, Mari Beal, and Christopher (Tracey) Boyd; and several nieces and nephews.
Kathy was preceded in death by her parents, Willard and Beatrice Boyd.
Cremation will occur and there will be no public services held at this time. Kathy will be laid to rest in a private family ceremony at Glendale Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to American Cancer Society or the American Heart Association.

Mike, I'm so sorry to hear of Kathy's death. I had actually been thinking of her recently. We were all such good friends a lifetime ago, and had lovely times together. Email me if you would like to talk sometime. She will be missed by so many, may she rest in peace.
