February 10, 1932 – March 21, 2022

Donna Jean Griggs was born February 10, 1932 in Des Moines, the youngest daughter of Oscar “Dick” and Mabel (Rheuport) Griggs. She grew up on the East side of Des Moines and attended Brooks Elementary School, Wilson Jr. High School and graduated from East High School in 1951. She met Jack Daily early in 1948 and they were married on June 20, 1953 while Jack was home on leave from the Navy. They had 4 children, Tim, Terry, Rick and Sue.

Donna came to know Jesus as her personal Lord and Savior in 1967. She loved to help people, and there wasn’t anything she couldn’t do. She was still driving and on the move right up to the end.

Donna was proceeded in death by her parents, her husband Jack, her oldest son Tim, her grandsons Michael Daily and Jeremy Daily, her sisters Mary Griggs Warren and husband Joe and Betty Griggs Foddrill and husband Clyde, her nephews Bob Foddrill and wife Judy and Bill Foddrill.

She is survived by her children Terry and wife Shawn, Rick and wife Laura and Sue Bowlin and husband Mark. Her grandsons Nick Daily, Lucas Daily (Stacey), Daniel Bowlin (Alicia), Matthew Bowlin (Rebecca), Tony Smith, Jeff Smith, Mike Smith and Britt Clark. Grand-daughters Amelya Daily, Heather Cooper and Jenna Clark. Great-grandsons Ethan Daily, Gavin Daily, Owen Bowlin, Jack Bowlin, Jameson Bowlin and Shae Clark and great-granddaughters Andrea Sommer, Madelyn Bowlin, Ava Clark, Isabella Cooper, Lilyth Clark, Dahlia Clark and Piper Clark. Also surviving are her niece Sharon Quirk and husband Jim, nephew Mike Foddrill and wife Marilyn, and nephew Bill Foddrill’s wife Shari, and many wonderful nieces and nephews on Jack's side of the family. Her lifelong friend Beverly Zmich, and countless friends and neighbors that are too many to mention.

This world has lost a helpful soul, but heaven has gained an angel. Well done thou good and faithful servant.
