Tongela Roschae Coleman-Smith

Tongela Roschae Coleman-Smith, age 50, passed away Friday, March 18, 2022 at her home in Des Moines.

Tongela was born March 7, 1972 in Peoria, Illinois to Jessie Crump and Shirley (Coleman) Crump. She loved playing softball and cards. She was a member of Rising Sun Church in Peoria, Illinois.

She is survived by her children, Kanesha Smith, Demetrious Smith, Willie Woodford; father, Jessie Crump; sisters, Angela Harrell, Sharon Crump-Taylor; brothers, Timothy Coleman, Marcus Crump, Craig Crump; and many nieces, nephews and other loving family.

Tongela was preceded in death by her husband, John Smith; mother, Shirley Crump; and sisters, Caimela Crump and Regina Coleman.

Cremation will occur and she will be laid to rest at Lutheran Cemetery in Peoria, Illinois at a later date.
