James Semple

James “Jimmy” Semple, age 86, passed away on March 22, 2022. He was born on October 16, 1935 in Des Moines, Iowa.

Jimmy is survived by his son, Scott; and granddaughter, Elizabeth.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Judith; and brothers, William and Kenneth.

Jimmy will be remembered by his many family members and friends.

Jim gave me my first teaching job starting my 38 year career. He was supportive and gave us permission to have fun. He brought laughter so often and helped us build lifelong friendships in those early jobs. I owe him so much and will miss his great sense of humor. Mary Wilson Mekemson
