Carolyn Byrkett

Carolyn Diane Byrkett, age 71, passed away Thursday, March 17, 2022 at her home in Clive.

Carolyn was born October 2, 1950 in Des Moines, Iowa. She graduated from East High School. Carolyn married David Byrkett in 1967. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister. Carolyn was a proud Marine wife. She loved to listen to music, especially the Oldies, and enjoyed time with her family. She loved to cook and breakfast foods were her specialty. Her greatest joy was her family and she loved spending time with her grandkids.

She is survived by her sons, Brian, Brad, and Bill (Sheryl); eight grandchildren; and many other loving family members and friends.

Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband, David.

Funeral service will begin at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 30, 2022 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, Des Moines. Visitation will be from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Carolyn will be interred at Iowa Veterans Cemetery in Adel, Iowa with her husband, David at 12:30 p.m.
