Bonny Young

Bonny Kay Young, age 66, passed away Wednesday, March 16, 2022 at Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines, Iowa.

Bonny was born November 21, 1955 in Des Moines, Iowa to Harold and Peggy (Williams) Cleghorn. She enjoyed cooking and gardening, and she especially loved lilacs and lily of the valley flowers. Bonny was a talented artist who excelled at painting, drawing, and she loved breathing new life into antiques. Above all else, Bonny treasured time with her family and was devoted to her grandkids.

She is survived by her daughter, Hallee Dunsky (Jeremy Usher); siblings, Diane Piercy, Andy Cleghorn, and Coral Silk and their families; and her beloved granddaughters, Evangeline and Imelda Usher.

Bonny was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Peggy Cleghorn; former husband, Don Dunsky; and brother, Jerry Cleghorn.

There will be a celebration of life on Friday, March 25, 2022 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, Des Moines from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m.
