Pauline Reese
March 12, 2022
Pauline Marie (Brown) Reese entered Heaven on March 12 holding the hand of a precious loved one.
Pauline was born on July 19, 1928, and lived most of her life in Des Moines. She graduated from East High School. Pauline met her husband Bill Reese after he returned from his meritorious service in WWII. They were married at Unity Lutheran Church in 1947. Pauline raised six kids and was always there to support her 14 grandkids. She worked for Russell’s Jewelry, the Drake University Athletic Department and Autumn Ridge Estates. Pauline was not happy to retire in her 80s, she loved working with and for people and making friends.
Pauline lived her last 8 years at Beaverdale Estates and Trinity Center. She made many friends at both places. Her family is most grateful for the tremendous care given by the entire staff at Trinity Center and for Suncrest Hospice for providing Pauline’s excellent end of life care.
Left to tell and write her stories are: Mary Jones, Mike (Linda) Reese, Guy (Beth) Reese, Betty (Steve) Wolfe and Mona (David) Graham, her 14 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, a great-great granddaughter, many nieces, nephews and so many that she was a second mother to.
Preceding her in death were her husband Bill, son Joe (Joey Hollywood), son-in-law Tom Jones, siblings Robert Brown, Sharon Clapp, Sandra Fredregill, and her dear lifelong friend Jackie Cornish
Visitation will be Friday, April 1, 2022 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, April 2, 2022, at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Ave, Des Moines. Burial of the urn will follow at Laurel Hill.

What do you say about such an amazing Mom. We have so many stories and so much love in us. We will now take good care of and love each other because that is all she ever wanted. Miss you Mom, but I see you in each one of us. Did the sarcasm though come from you or Dad? I know I have a bit too much.
