Service Details

On Saturday, March 12, 2022, the world lost three of its brightest lights. Juno 12, Arabella 10, and Harper 7, tragically passed away in a car accident in Kansas while traveling to visit family down south. While their friends and family grieve this tremendous loss, we also remember the beautiful and precious lives they lived.

The three girls loved being sisters to each other, they were all born in Des Moines, Iowa. They were surrounded by love from their grandma, Lee (Apo); mother, Luluo and Schweitzer; aunt, Rosanna; uncle, David; father, David “Casey”; and grandparents, Papa Dave and Carol.

Juno Keenan Clements was born on October 21, 2009. She was a 6th grader at Summit Middle School in Johnston, Iowa. Juno loved going to school, especially to see her friends. She loved her friends very much and couldn’t stop talking about all the things they got into. Every day she had a new story to share about all the experiences she had at school with her friends and teachers. She and her friends even started a baking club recently. She was a straight-A student and the perfect role model to her younger sisters. She loved to read. She has a very extensive collection of Harry Potter, Diary of a Wimpy Kid, and Dog Man to say the least. She recently got into anime and could not wait to start exploring anime conventions and cosplay as her favorite characters. Her mind was very unique and original. Juno was undeniably becoming an independent young lady who truly enjoyed and indulged in the things she loved and welcomed new things into her life to make it more colorful. Her soul was very artsy and colorful. She will be most remembered for her selflessness and putting others first.

Arabella Jeannette Clements was born on December 9, 2011. She was a 4th grader at Timber Ridge Elementary School. Arabella always had a sensitive and tender heart. She also had a big imagination and was so determined. She was a natural at writing beautiful stories. She was an aspiring chef and loved to attempt to create very ambitious recipes. If she had the chance to make breakfast for the family she would take every opportunity to, she would always beat you to the stove. She loved to keep her ideas and thoughts organized. She made lists of all her classmates' and teachers' names, school activities and events, and recipes of pastries she couldn’t wait to create. Arabella would also spend every night creating a complete outfit for school and making sure every detail was flawless. Her competitiveness was the highest in the family and she would try her best at nearly everything she did because she truly loved to accomplish her goals. Because of that, at first glance, she would seem like a quiet kid at first but she always observed first before trying anything just to make sure she could do it perfectly. Her laugh was infectious and that always brightened the room.

Harper Effie Clements was born on April 3, 2014. She was in 2nd grade at Timber Ridge Elementary School. Even though Harper was the youngest, she was fiercely independent. She wouldn’t let anything keep her down and she always persevered. She loved all things rainbow – and so the next time you see one – think of her. She always felt like she was different from her sisters, but in fact, she was just so free-spirited that no one could hold her down. She loved to draw just about anything. Her drawings were so specific and detailed, every stroke of her pencil or marker had a significant meaning to it and if she didn’t get it right, she would start over. She was the most clever and creative person in the room. She could make you believe anything she said without any effort. She was always really good at getting out of trouble. While her sisters were busy at one thing, her imagination took her to a whole different world in which she would dive so deep that her surroundings would simply fade away. Sometimes she would even lead her sisters to do the things she wanted to do. She had a way with words. She loved anything mythical. Disney movies were her greatest creative inspiration. From dragons to dinosaurs, she indulged in every second of it. To her, this was her world and we were all just living in it. In recent years she has learned so much from school, has progressed so much in order to catch up with her classmates, and even impressed her teachers. All she ever wanted to do was be good and do a great job. Her spirit was always free and untamed.

The girls loved spending time as a family, some of their favorite memories are the recent trip the family took to Dallas, Texas for Chinese New Year and visiting family. The girls enjoyed the warm weather and playing games with family every night till past bedtime. We also had the best Christmas ever in 2021 since we could finally spend it with extended family. There was never a picture of the girls not smiling. All the board games we played and the puzzles we built we enjoyed the most as a family. They loved to seek adventure outdoors and enjoyed building a tent to camp outdoors under the stars. They loved every part of their school community and even more, their friends and family.

A visitation to celebrate their lives will be on Wednesday, March 23, 2022, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Hamilton’s on Westown Parkway.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family.
