Charles "Chuck" Jason Hoisington

Charles “Chuck” Jason Hoisington, 82, passed away on March 6, 2022, at Unity Point Iowa Methodist Medical Center.

Chuck was born June 7, 1939, in Des Moines to Charles and Irene (Matney) Hoisington.

He was a member of Odd Fellows, National Gardening Club, American Iris Society, Scout Master and District Commissioner for Boy Scouts of America.

Chuck is survived by his wife, Debbie; children, Charla (Charley) Church, Loran (Erin) Hoisington, Bradley (Kristine) Hoisington, and Allan (Rebecca) Hoisington; sister, Phyllis Hoisington; grandchildren, Caitlyn (Jordan) Larsen, Cole Weir, Chloe Church, Claire Church, Grace Hoisington, Evelyn Hoisington, Savannah Lucas, Chance Hoisington, and Candace Hoisington; two great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, and other loving family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Glenn Hoisington.

The family will greet friends on Wednesday, March 16, 2022, from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street. Funeral services will follow at 1:00 p.m. also at the funeral home. Chuck will be laid to rest at Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
