John L. Walsh, 80, was born April 8, 1929 in Williams, Iowa. He passed away Sunday, October 25, 2009 at Iowa Methodist Medical Center.
John is survived by his daughters, Rebecca F. (Al) Peters and Christina J. (Rodger Ginkle) Thompson; grandchildren, Larra (Marinko) Petersen-Lukenda, Shane A. Melissa) Petersen, BreAnne Whitaker and Brandan Thompson and his great-grandson, Caleb Petersen. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Joyce (Cronin) Walsh.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, October 30, 2009, at Hamilton's Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street. Cremation will follow the visitation and private inurnment will take place at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society in loving memory of John.

I just wanted to tell you all how sorry I am about gramps and that he meant a lot to me even I only knew him for short time. He was a great guy and he always had some interesting story to share?. My thoughts are with you all.
