Wilmettie Kelce, age 96, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 25, 2022. She was born the daughter of Joe and Alcarrie (Smithhart) Corpron on July 23, 1925 in Martinsburg Iowa.

Wilmettie married William Kelce and they spent 19 years together before his passing in Nov. 1965. To this union they were blessed with 6 children.

Wilmettie enjoyed reading, ceramics, crafts, BBQs, going out to eat, spending time at the Northside Senior Center with friends and spending time with family.

Those left behind to cherish her memory include her loving children Judy(Mike) Wilson, Sheryl Kelce, Tana Kelce, William (Leslie) Kelce, and Daughter-in-law Donna Kelce. 10 Grandchildren: Kelly Shanahan, Aaron Brooks, Amy Erickson, Sara Jelinek, Michelle Schmith, Kaleb Kelce, Savannah Spitz, Crystal Gilliam, Stefany Hunter, and Victoria Piere. 24 Great Grandchildren, 17 Great Great Grandchildren and many family members and friends.

Wilmettie was preceded in death by her parents, her husband William Kelce, Sister Wanda Huberty, Brother Vola Corpron, Sons Daniel (infant) and Timothy Kelce.

Visitation will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, March 4, 2022, with funeral service following at 11:00 a.m., at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, Des Moines. Lunch will be served there immediately after the service. Burial will take place at Glendale Cemetery in Des Moines.
