H. Wayne Dahl, 82, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family at his home on February 24, 2022. Cremation rites have been accorded.
Wayne was born September 14, 1939 to Casper and Lucille Dahl in Minnesota. He graduated from Elmore High School and enlisted in the Army. Once honorably discharged from the Army, he began his accounting career at Peavy in Minneapolis, MN. Wanting to be closer to the family, he moved to Forest City, IA. For the next 18 years, he worked for Winnebago Industries as Chief financial Officer. In 1989, Wayne had the opportunity to lead Holiday Rambler, and as President, he was invited to sit on the board of directors of Harley Division. During his tenure at Holiday Rambler, he was involved with the RVIA, Recreational Vehicles Trade Association, serving on several leadership positions including Executive Committee and Board Directors.
In his spare time, Wayne enjoyed taking his motorhome and traveling across the country. He also enjoyed collecting John Deere tractors.
He will be missed by his wife of almost 60 years, Kaye Dahl; his daughter, Debra Church; his granddaughter, Cheyenne and grandson, Cody; and sister, Kay Sandersfeld.
He was preceded in death by his parents, infant daughter, Pamela, and brother, Richard Dahl.

I worKed for Wayne for several years. During this time he helped guide my career and became a good friend and mentor. He was always there when I needed a friend or some direction. Until last year there were far too many years that passed and we didnt see each other. While on a trip passing through Arizona our route took us by Waynes winter home in Phoenix. It was wonderful to visit with him and Kaye and reminisce of days gone by. We were very fortunate. He will be missed by all that knew him. Our thoughts are with Kaye and family. Paul Barbour
