Danny Stepp

Danny Stepp, 65, passed away on February 22, 2022, at Every Step Kavanaugh on 56th Street.

Danny was born November 14, 1956, in Des Moines, Iowa to Bill and Bernice Stepp. He attended St. Anthony’s Catholic School and graduated from Lincoln High School.

He was an avid Hawkeyes fan and known for his neighborhood barbeques. He followed in his fathers’ footsteps and became a long-haul trucker. He enjoyed spending his free time with his friends and family camping, boating, and fishing. Above all, he enjoyed time spent with his only son, Dylan.

Danny is survived by his son, Dylan Stepp; siblings, Gene Stepp, Linda Stepp, and David Stepp; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and brothers, Artie and Billy.

Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Monday, February 28, 2022, at Hamiltons Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street. A funeral service will follow at 1:00 p.m. also at the funeral home. Danny will be laid to rest at Restland Cemetery in Baxter, Iowa. A Celebration of Life will take place on Saturday, March 5, 2022, at 1:00 p.m. at Bea’s Place, 108 N Main Street, Baxter, Iowa.
