Dorothy Hutchison

Dorothy Mae Berry Hutchison, 93, went to her eternal rest on 2/19/22 succumbing to a recent injury.

Dorothy was born to Mary Lisk and Ira Berry on the south side of Des Moines. She was the last born of 8 children. Dorothy was a graduate of Lincoln High School.

Dorothy loved to dance. Her favorite partner was her brother Gene. They frequented all the big band orchestra dances.

Dorothy was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witnesses. She lived a life of faith and loved serving her Lord Jehovah.

During her work years she was an accountant for the family business Hutchison Builders and also worked for other companies in Des Moines.

She was proceeded in death by all of her brothers and sisters, her parents, her former husband John H. Hutchison, and her beloved cat Tommy.

Left to mourn her memory are her daughter Pam Mott of Norwalk, and her son Gary Hutchison and wife Peg of New Virginia, Step-son Larry and his wife Barbara Hutchison of Des Moines and their family. Grandchildren Jennifer and Bill Jones of Des Moines, Shannon and Jeremy Hutchison-Krupat of Cambridge UK, Scott Hutchison and Caroline Danforth of Arlington VA. 9 great grandchildren, and many family and friends.

Memorial contributions can be made to the family.

Internment of cremains will be done at a later date.
