Carla Shivers

Carla Shivers, age 54, departed this life on Monday, February 21, 2022, at University Park Nursing Home in Des Moines, Iowa. Carla was born on June 26, 1967 to the union of Sam and Marlene (Woods) Shivers in Los Angeles, California. Carla eventually moved back to Des Moines with her mother.

Carla attended East High School where she received her diploma, and later in life gave birth to a daughter, Konner. Carla loved spending time with her grandmother as a young child who would read her bible stories and take her to the Kingdom Hall.

Carla Shivers was one of Jehovah’s Witnesses and attended the Grandview Park Congregation.

Carla loved reading the Bible and attending congregation meetings. She enjoyed spending time with Konner and looked forward to seeing her resurrected loved ones in the new Paradise on earth.

Carla was preceded in death by her parents, Sam and Marlene Shivers.

She leaves to cherish her memories daughter, Konner Shivers of Des Moines, Iowa; step-mother, Marian Jean Shivers of Ontario, California; siblings, Angela Tousant, Anthony Smith, and April Shivers-Gonzalez, all of Ontario, California; uncle, James L. Woods (Lavieta) or Corona, California; and aunt, Dorothy M. Clark (Roy) of Las Vegas, Nevada; and a host of cousins and friends.
