Service Details
Mary Ann McGee, 73, passed away February 19, 2022 at Manorcare Health Services of West Des Moines. Funeral Services will take place at 2:30 p.m. on Friday, February 25, 2022 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street in Des Moines with visitation taking place one hour prior. Burial will take place at a later date.
Mary Ann was born March 21, 1948 to James Dolphin and Anna Fye (Bowden) Wilcox in Des Moines, IA. She retired as a secretary from Lutheran Hospital. One of her greatest joys in life was spending time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by her children, Matthew James (Stacy) McGee, Joseph Daniel (Melissa) McGee, and Anna Mae McGee; eight grandchildren; and her sister, Kathy (Jareld) Shilling.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Danny Matthew McGee.

Im so sorry to hear about your mom, Matt. Lots of great memories as kids being around your house. She was a hoot and always very kind to me. Will never forget hearing her holler your name all the time, Matttt!!! Lol. Hang in there, buddy. Hugs and prayers to you all!

This was my grandma she was the best in the entire world and we all loved her very very much and forever will may she rest in peace without any further pain.
