Dorothy Koger, 95, passed away on February 16, 2022. She was born in Thayer, Iowa on July 23, 1926, daughter of John and Madge (Phipps) Lear.
Dorothy is survived by her son, Phillip Koger Sr.; daughter Phyllis (Edward) Jenkins; 5 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. She is preceded is death by her husband, Frederick Koger and eight siblings.
Services will be held on Friday, February 25, 2022 at 12:00 p.m., at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Ave., Des Moines. A visitation will be held one hour prior to services.

We loved Aunt Dorothy, especially my mother Marlene Sullivan. We always had so much fun with her. Praying for peace and comfort and know she and Mom are having a grand reunion in Heaven!

Dorothy lived life on her own terms and was a gutsy woman. I will aways admire her! It makes me smile to think of her coming home to heaven to the arms of Jesus, her husband and to all the loving arms of the Lear family. May you rest in peace, dear friend Dorothy, until we meet again.
