Mary and her twin, Mike, were my best friends from third grade on. Mary was the first girl I ever took to the movies. I have such fond memories of those years and all the class reunions we attended.

It was about 3 years after my mom passed away that my son Prince moved in with me. Mom left a half finished Christmas stocking that she was knitting for the next worthy recipient. Not only did Mary finish knitting that stocking for Prince but the next year she knitted one for my son Promise when he moved in. Because of Mary, I feel that my children have a piece of the grandma they never had the fortune of meeting. I will forever be grateful to Mary for this beautiful act of kindness.
Thank you Mary.
My thoughts and prayers to the children and grandchildren she loved so dearly.

I will always treasure the memories of Mary and our "girls" week every January for over 20 years on Sanibel Island. Mary loved going to our condo on the beach, picking up shells, going to our favorite restaurants, relaxing, and laughing a lot. Thank you, Mary, for enriching my life. I'm so thankful our paths crossed. I will miss you.

I will always mss Mary. She was a wonderful friend and confidant and it is hard to imagine life without being able to go to the phone for a long talk with her. My prayers are with her children and grandchildren, all of whom she loved so very much.

My life has been blessed having had Mary as my sorority sister, college roommate, and lifelong confident. We started our young families together and worked at the same hospital in Cedar Rapids. Eventually, even though the miles were far between us, we were close in heart and spirit always. She was my angel and I will miss her.
My condolences to her loving family. She left a wonderful legacy to continue the love and support she freely gave to others. Be blessed.

Good bye dear friend, U of Iowa C of N classmate and fellow traveler, I shall miss our travels and talks. To the family, a loss for us all but we know she made her own choices to the end which is to be admired and respected. It seems the days before her death, the Galapagos was in my head which was our first big trip together then when I heard of her death I knew why. Lots of good memories. She will be greatly missed.
