Audrey Hanes

Audrey Kay Hanes of West Des Moines passed away on October 22, 2009, after courageously battling cancer the past 3 years.

Audrey was born October 12, 1939 in Redfield, Iowa to Bruce and Bernetta Hanes. She graduated from Redfield in 1957. Upon graduation she moved to Des Moines spending 43 years working primarily for Agri Industries before retiring in 2001. She truly enjoyed her working and birthday group friendships. Her 50th high school reunion was another highlight in her life.

Audrey is survived by her brother, Dr. Chuck Hadley (Kathy) of Colorado Springs, three nephews, a niece, and Aunt Roxabelle Huggins of Eldora, many cousins, numerous great-nephews and nieces. All mourn her passing.

Visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Friday, October 30, at Hamilton's on Westown Parkway, 3601 Westown Parkway, West Des Moines.

Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Central Iowa.
