Bret Dacre

Bret P. Dacre, 52, of Des Moines, went to be with the Lord on February 9, 2022.

Bret had a big heart and gentle spirit. He loved his family and was a true friend. Bret loved to cook and was really good at it. He loved all of the Christmas baking over the holidays, and always requested peanut clusters. Bret loved Sebastian, his cat and always had a funny story to tell his family about him.

Earlier in life, Bret worked in the trades and the last few years worked part time at Stoney Point Carwash.

Bret, like all of us, had his struggles but he always kept his faith, loved his Lord and knew the Lord walked beside him.

Bret is survived by his dad, Joe Dacre of Earlham, Iowa; his mom and popz, Diane and Bryan Hudson of Des Moines; brother, Shawn Dacre; nephew, David Dacre; uncle, Jerry Dacre, all of Des Moines; and a large extended family.

He will always be remembered and missed and so will his smile and wonderful laugh. Bret was a tissue donor. Per his wishes, Hamilton’s was entrusted with his arrangements. He also requested, no services be held.

The family would like to express their appreciation to Hamilton’s funeral director, Lissa Muhm, for her time and information as well as the compassion and kindness shown to them at this very difficult time.
