Edward Connett, Jr.

Edward Connett, Jr. passed away at his home February 7, 2022 at the age of 80. Per his request, his body has been cremated and no services are planned.

Edward was born April 29, 1941 in Des Moines to Edward Sr. and Vera (Butters) Connett. Following high school, he served in the United States Navy from 1959 to 1967, during which time, he served six tours in Vietnam as a Gunner’s Mate Guns, Class 2. Edward retired in 1997 from the United States Postal Service where he had been a mail carrier for almost 30 years.

Edward is survived by his loving wife, Janice; sons, Randall (Rhonda) Connett and Ken Connett; daughter, Shiela (Philip Breuklander) Lepley; brothers, Carl Connett and James Connett; sister, Connie Luffy; grandchildren, Alec (Erika) Connett, Allison Connett, Brenna Connett and Jaxson Lepley; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Vic Connett.
