Nancy Frederick

Nancy Frederick, 68, passed away Thursday, October 22, 2009 at Taylor House Hospice.

Nancy was born on January 2, 1941 in Des Moines, Iowa the daughter of Bernard and Gertrude (Michaels) Grannis. She worked for Friskie Moon Catering Service and attended Widoco Elementary School. She was a member of the Eastside Church of The Nazarene. Her greatest love was to join her second family for a game of bingo at Little All American Football Bingo or at Southridge Bingo. Nancy will deeply miss them all. Nancy enjoyed going to Prairie Meadows and was an excellent cook. She loved her children unconditionally and was in turn so loved by her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

Nancy is survived by her daughters, Donna (Alan) Grossman-Stewart, Jackie Duttlinger, Nancy Smith, Sara Diaz; son, Robert (Jackie) Frederick; stepson, Gary Froehley, 26 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren and 2 great- great grandchildren and her two best friends Mickie Lane and Joan Belk and daughter in law,
Janet Rose Frederick.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Gertrude and Bernard Grannis; children, Becky Selby and Donald Frederick, Jr., grandson Donald Frederick III, baby Brent and great grandson Arthur.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, October 29, 2009 at 1 p.m., from Hamilton's Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street. Visitation will be held Thursday from 9 a.m. until service time.

The family would like to thank the Iowa Lutheran Staff, Taylor House Staff and Dr. David Flagel and staff.
