Ronald Lehman

Ronald L. Lehman (Ron), 80, passed away February 3, 2022 at his home, surrounded with family.

Ron was born November 5, 1941 to Lilly and Irvin Lehmann in Norfolk, Nebraska. He spent a lot of his childhood moving from place to place, he grew up in “Everywhere, Nebraska and Alsotheretoo, Iowa.” Ron graduated from Atlantic (Iowa) High School, and received his Architectural Degree from Iowa State University. Ron became a state certified architect in 1973, and began his own architectural firm in 1978. Ron was an accomplished architect and certified member of CSI, AIA and CIA, along with recognitions from various professional associations.

Ron’s charisma, values and humor guide his family – wife, Janet Marjorie (Pelzer) Lehman; son, John Chadwick Lehman; daughter, Carrie Lehman Urban; grandchildren Mackenzie, Rachel and Lily Urban, and Sophia and Maxwell Lehman; and brothers Gerald and Randall Lehman of Missouri Valley, Iowa. Ron is joining his parents Marie and Irv Lehmann, and closest compadre and older brother, William in heaven.

Ron has left his mark on the world as a wonderful and loving grandfather, beloved father and husband, caring son and brother, inspiration to friends, and helpful neighbor. A great man, philosopher, artist, environmentalist, engineer and dapper dude will be missed by those fortunate to know him. Prayers and love accompany Ron from the many whose lives he continues to grace.

We will raise cups together again. Memorial is planned for late spring, date to be determined.
